We had a wonderful stay at Amalia’s villa. The location is perfect - peaceful, private, and with beautiful views of the sea. It’s the ideal place to relax and unwind. The villa itself is spotless, well maintained, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable family stay. Amalia was a thoughtful and welcoming host, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

Lovely private location with stunning views. You will definitely need a hire car as access is long and steep. Just a couple min drive to the sea front with 3 small supermarkets and many restaurants to choose from. Both cool and warm heat pump heating/air conditioning. Perfect for upto 6 people (3 couples) Communication was excellent and answered any questions we had very quickly.

Magic Hill villa is simply breathtaking. When you arrive and walk into the lounge and see the views it blows you away! Both Amelia and Dimitris were so helpful and responsive to any questions we had. It is located up a very very steep hill so you will need a car but the views are spectacular. We walked into town and then ordered a taxi to bring us home after dinner - wasn’t an issue at all. Couldn’t brave the hill in august heat ! The kitchen had everything you need, and the bbq area was fantastic for the few evenings we didn’t eat out. We will definitely be back as we loved this villa and Agia Effimia is a gorgeous traditional greek village.

An amazing villa, with spectacular views throughout the day. Everything in the villa is perfect, good sized ensuite bedrooms and a well sized kitchen-dinning-living room that leads onto a gorgeous patio with infinity pool. I would recommend this to family and friends visiting Kefelonia

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. It was perfect for 6 adults. The view is breathtaking and we were lucky to witness a lightning storm in the distant clouds followed by the Lunar Eclipse. What a show! Everyone had comfy beds, space and privacy. We hired cars which we used to visit perfect beaches and to get supplies from the lovely quiet village or to go out for meals. We didn’t try to walk back up the hill! Everything was perfect so we didn’t need to contact Amalia but she let us know when the mid week clean was happening and when we returned the whole place was clean and sheets and towels were changed. We were all so sad to leave and hope we will be able to return one day. The North of Cephalonia is very beautiful and less busy than the south. If you like beautiful beaches, dramatic scenery and a laid back feel you will love it. The villa is the icing on the cake!

Wow, best place I’ve ever stayed. The view and house is amazing. Would live here if we could. Absolutely loved the stay, didn’t even want to leave the house and pool. Highly recommend. Wouldn’t want to walk to town as it’s up a steep hill, but worth it for the view.

Myself and my family have just returned from a week’s holiday in this wonderful Villa, the views are breathtaking!! The villa is presented in immaculate condition and very private. The communication has been exceptional from managing our arrival through to ensuring everything is going well during our stay. Absolutely superb villa with unmatched views over Sami Bay, Ithaca and the mountains of Kefalonia. Huge terrace and beautiful pool, well equipped outdoor barbecue and pool shower. Spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished, with great kitchen. Bedrooms all a good size, each with an en-suite and two with patio doors to the front terrace and pool area. The beds are large and comfortable. We hired a car and visited Fiskardo, Assos, and the beaches at Anti-Samos and Myrtos. All highly recommended. Amalia is an excellent host and communication was very good. We had a great time and cannot recommend this villa highly enough!

The villa was incredible and completely exceeded our expectations. <br/>The view was amazing with an outlook over the village below and the sea - the sunrise in the morning was perfect! <br/>The villa itself was well-equipped, a great size, clean and had everything we needed for our stay including towels, beach towels and dressing gowns. <br/>Check in was great with Dimitris meeting us in the village and showing us the way to the villa. <br/>The walk to and from the village is via a very steep hill (definitely walkable) but a car is needed. <br/>We stayed at the end of October and start of November and the weather was perfect.

WOW WOW WOW! What an amazing villa and location. It really couldn’t be faulted and everything was perfect. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home and certainly did not want to leave. The only thing that might be a little concern to some is the road up to the villa, it’s very steep but of course if you want to enjoy views like the ones here, you’re going to need to climb a mountain! We had a car so it wasn’t an issue for us. <br/>We will 100% be returning next year, alongside the villa, we fell in love with the village too. Such a beautiful place and a brilliant base if you have a car to explore the rest of the island. <br/>5 star experience from beginning to end

Lovely villa up a steep hill from the small harbour village of Agia Effimia. A very comfortable place with stunning views over towards the town of Sami. It is well equipped and very peaceful with a lovey garden and outdoor pool. There are plenty of local small beaches plus this is a good spot to explore other parts of the island . …. the coast road from Fiskardo towards Assos and then Myrtos beach is worth it just for the views along there …. stunning .<br/>We hope to return at some point , as this place is excellent.

The view is fantastic! the villa is very well equipped, spotless clean and surrounded by lavender and beautiful olive trees. It’s a great location to go to Myrtos beach, Sami, Assos and Fiskardo. The hosts Amalia et Dimitris were very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of shops and restaurants in Agia Effimia and a beautiful beach down the road. <br/>Air-cond in every room was perfect for July. The bed linen and pillows were of great quality and the house was getting cleaned twice a week by a lovely young lady. <br/>The swimming pool was very clean and great for the whole family. We were 4 adults and 2 children and we also comfortably cooked family dinners as the kitchen is very spacious. So was the couch to watch movies! <br/>It was an amazing stay. The garden surrounding the villa is very well maintained. There were beautiful flowers and many outdoor areas to enjoy the peace of a Greek summer. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend the Villa Magic Hill, it was really magical!

This is a beautiful property with stunning views. It is very quiet with lots of birdsong and plants that soften the outdoor areas. The pool is clean. The interior was immaculate and we were provided with new towels and cleaning every 4-5 days. It is as wonderful as the images suggest. Host always responds quickly to queries. We also valued the helpful folder of suggested places to visit, especially more remote beaches. <br/>We would return another time!

Fabulous apartment with stunning views of Agia Efimia and Ithica. Wonderful place to relax in a stylish, modern and comfortable environment, inside and out. Amalia was very friendly and helpful, meeting us and taking us to the apartment. We extended our stay as we enjoyed the apartment and location so much.

Amalia's Magic Villa is truly magical. This is a stunning place with the most beautiful endless views of the sea, mountains & bay. The infinity pool is gorgeous. The outdoor space is surrounded by lovely lavender, rosemary and flowers. Plenty of outdoor furniture, with covered outdoor space too. There is a huge BBQ & plenty of floats for the pool to use. This is a very private villa, surrounded by nature. The indoor space is very comfortable too, with a well equipped kitchen. Tastefully decorated space. Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own bathroom & a door opening onto the garden area. Two of the bedrooms have seaviews- so you could lie in bed & watch the sunrise every morning. The local area has plenty of restaurants- esp recommend Sea Rock & Daily Art Bakery. The steep walk up to the villa was fine with us. We were extremely well looked after throughout our stay. Amalia is the best host. We were well looked after throughout. Highly recommend. Want to come back with family/friends :)

Wow. The villa is amazing. The views are incredible. The private infinity pool just a few steps from your bedroom. Location is the perfect mix of peace and quiet with a 10 minute walk or 2 min drive to the town for bars, restaurants and all the amenities you could need. The walk down is quick the walk back quite hard because of the very steep hill but perfectly doable as long as you are relatively fit. We loved our 2 week stay here and can't recommend it enough!

We met amalias brother Dimitris on arrival, he was very helpful throughout our stay, always available by phone for any questions we had. <br/>The views at this villa were spectacular. Even more beautiful in person then in the photos. Listening to the local goats roam around with bells on in the mountains above really added to the charm as well. Great base for exploring the north of the island! We had a car rental, and I’d definitely advise to rent one, especially as the villa itself is up a very steep hill.

We had an amazing stay! The villa has the best views, the property is amazing. Very clean. The rooms are nicely decorated. The pool is the best! The uphill ride wasn’t a problem at all. In 4-5 minutes you’re in town. <br/>Agia efimia is a small town, but all restaurants were very good and it’s a nice town to explore the island. <br/>We can recommend the breakfast at Daily Art, and ‘to Perasma and Sea Rock for dinner!!<br/>We’d love to come back!

Beautiful villa near a lovely village. The view is unmatched and the hosts generously had some fresh bread and other goods for when we arrived. Would reccomend having a car to be able to get up the hill to the villa as it is quite steep and out the way. Would definitely stay again.

This is a beautiful villa and pool with great views over the coast and was perfect for our visit. It is up a very steep hill out of the village which would be a tough walk for most people, so would say a car is essential. The owners were brilliant with communications and advice. The view is just amazing, relaxing in the wonderful pool and watching the boats coming in and out of the harbours is great. Check in was very smooth with clear communication, Dimitri was so friendly and helpful. He recommended some beautiful places to visit and a very nice restaurant down in the town. He also helped us to find where we could watch the F1 and where to rent a boat from! <br/>I cannot recommend this place enough!

This house is extraordinary. It is even more beautiful than on the pictures. We visited with group of five friends and the location couldn’t have been better. The village where the house is located has everything you need. <br/>The house was perfectly equipped (e.g. with dishwasher tabs, pool towels and even an umbrella for the beach). <br/>We absolutely recommend staying in this house.

Villa Magic Hill is absolutely fabulous in all respects. The highlight is undoubtedly the view. It is situated about 200m high looking south, so access is challenging on foot from Agia Effimia, but the resulting view is breathtaking, so it is worth the climb. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. A hire car is recommended because of it's location, but taxis from the village are readily available and good value if needed. It is secluded and quiet and surrounded by the sounds of nature....you must get up at sunrise and listen to the bees amongst the flowers and pick a bunch of fresh basil from the garden to put on your Greek salad, or perhaps walk down the hill to one of the pebbly coves and have a swim followed by brisk walk back up...such a treat!! The villa itself is of a very high standard and the infinity pool is amazing. Agia Effimia is a good base to explore the rest of the Island, and Ithaka for a day trip, if you wish. What a wonderful place to stay, we were so lucky to find it!!

A fabulous holiday in this beautiful villa. The villa was outstanding with everything we needed for a week in the sun. The kitchen was well stocked, and a lovely welcome package including beer, wine and eggs.<br/>The outside pool area was immaculate with plenty loungers and parasols and a good supply of towels to use outside. The sound of the bells on the sheep behind the hill behind the villa was a delight to hear in the morning and evenings.<br/>Agia effemia is a beautiful town with a good range of tavernas, bakery’s and shops. The villa is situated above the town on a steep hill. We did walk into the town numerous times but the walk home is not for the faint hearted! Thankfully we had a car to use some evenings. A trip to Fiscardo, myrtos beach and the surrounding areas are a must. <br/>All in all, a perfect holiday in a beautiful villa with outstanding views. Highly recommended.

A beautifully positioned villa with stunning views. We really loved our time here. The villa is extremely well appointed and immaculate. Great attention to detail. Pool and vista second to none. Dimitris and Amalia were really welcoming and helpful. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Definitely need a car as well to explore the island. Well done.

A very nice villa indeed. The son/brother of the owner (either the mum or daughter) was very nice and helpful. He should have been the one managing the property and communications with guests also in AirBnB. <br/>The owner a bit arrogant and rigid in her communications. And unprofessional with her answers when we asked to stay (and as a result pay) for a day less due to unforeseen circumstances that obliged us to arrive a day later. Her attitude was kind of “my property is nice therefore you need to pay the extra (unused) day cause otherwise I would have rent it to someone else”. And this despite our email well in advance. Her answer was on the email that she “didn’t see it” and then if she had, she would have canceled the booking… Anyway, flexibility and kindness pays off in the long run. Milking the client for that extra day will soon lead to bad reputation and future client losses.<br/>PS. The property was not professionally cleaned when we arrived.

From the moment I first enquired about the villa to the moment we left, Amalia’s service and hospitality was first class. I would highly recommend this villa to any potential AirBnb customer.<br/>I will breakdown my experience now of our stay and the location itself for fellow AirBnb customers. <br/>Booking was really simple, Amalia replied to my enquiry within 24 hours. As the holiday drew closer she provided me with her brother (Dimitri’s) mobile number as a point of contact. Dimitri was a great communicator and replied to my WhatsApp’s very quickly. On our arrival Dimitri met us in Agia Effimia at the agreed location before driving ahead to the villa itself. This is a very short 4-5 min drive away. The steep climb up the rough road to the villa will test your nerve if you are not a confident driver, but this is usual for Kefalonia and you will quickly get used to it. <br/>As you enter the villa’s grounds you come through an electric gate. You have to remember to keep this shut during your stay to prevent any unwanted goats from entering! The final steep slope leads you to the villa itself that looks stunning both at night and during the day. It has an amazing view point overlooking part of Agia Effimia and it’s coastal bay. It is very quite, due to it’s secluded position. The infinity swimming pool is a true one, one of the best I have been in. The gardens are beautiful and it is well landscaped, with lots of outdoor living. There are plenty of sun beds, an outdoor table and cushioned seating area by the BBQ. <br/>Inside the villa itself is just as impressive. You enter into the large kitchen/diner/lounge. The kitchen is impressive and well stocked with all the utensils you would require. There is an easy to use dishwasher, a large fridge/freezer and a washing machine. Leading from this area is a hallway which takes you to a separate toilet and then on to the 3 double bedrooms. Two with king size beds and the third with 2 single beds pushed together. All three bedrooms have their own very impressive en-suite bathrooms. Two with showers and another with a bath. Normally this is the part of our family holiday when our twins fight over who is going to get which room! But not this time! All three bedrooms are of a similar size and high standard. A nice design touch. We couldn’t fault this villa, you get what you pay for in life!<br/>Now for some personal touches. We never met Amalia for our stay, but instead dealt exclusively with Dimitri. His warm and friendly, enthusiastic manner was first class. He spoke excellent English and nothing was too much trouble. On our arrival late in the evening he presented us with a large, homemade pasta dish that his mother had cooked for us as she knew we would be arriving late. Nice touch. During the week I communicated with Dimitri via WhatsApp. He sent me links to nearby beaches, restaurants and areas of natural beauty....

Amalia and Dimitris are very friendly and the villa is simply amazing. I would recommend 100% and definitely try and come back

We had a wonderful stay at the villa! Amalia s and her family’s hospitality was outstanding and they went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable on multiple occasions : bringing play dens and fresh fish for our baby daughter and inviting us to spend Easter with them are just a few examples! The view from the villa is breathtaking and a car is necessary to move around!

Das Haus ist top ausgestattet, sodass auch gemeinsames Kochen problemlos möglich ist. Die Kommunikation mit Amalia und ihrem Bruder Dimitris war durchweg freundlich, hilfsbereit und völlig unkompliziert. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die Erholung mit Stil suchen!
